Nanda and his wife Rebecca both started blowing glass in
undergraduate school.Nanda received his
BFA in Glass from the University of Hawaii in 1998 and after 8 years of
production glass blowing in Seattle, Nanda moved to Richmond, Virginia to
attend graduate school.He completed his
MFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2007 and began teaching glass
blowing in the Craft/Material Studies department at VCU as an adjunct faculty
member.Rebecca majored in Glass at
Rhode Island School of Design and received her BFA in 1999 from the San Francisco Art Institute.Together, they started Solos Glass in 2007
to create high quality handmade products that are distinctive and modern.They collaborate in the studio blowing glass
and designing contemporary objects for today's home.
